Alchera, Honored as the Best Venture Company Among 500 Startups

Alchera, Inc., a company specializing in artificial intelligence (co-founder Kim Jung-bae, and vice-president Young K. Hwang) was honored as the Best Venture Company selected by the Venture Business Association. In the start-up field, selected considering innovation and growth potential among companies less than 3 years-old, Alchera has been recognized for developing and commercializing artificial intelligence technology.

Alchera is a technology company that produces AI-based image recognition, augmented reality, and learning data production solutions. It has commercialized real-time 3D face analysis technology that can be operated on smartphones, face and motion recognition technology, and visual anomaly detection technology. Alchera’s technology is being applied not only to the entertainment sector like SNOW Camera but also to products of large corporations and SMEs such as KT, LG U+ and KEPCO.
Kim Jung-bae, CEO of Alchera, expressed his aspiration to become a company that contributes to sales and employment by launching the world’s best artificial intelligence products for a fun, convenient and safe world.

Meanwhile, Alchera plans to show a space where visitors can directly experience the technology applied to SNOW Camera combined with the AR KIOSK at the Artificial Intelligence Exhibition held at COEX from Wednesday to Friday this week. This service was launched in December 2018 as a solution called ‘My Poster’ developed with Thes-S Corp. and is currently operating at CGV movie theaters in Seoul and Daejeon. It will be expanded to more than 100 places by the end of this year. Through this service, movie audiences can experience not only watching movies but also combining virtual movie characters with the real world photographs, and becoming the main character of movie posters.
